Marriage

by Ruth Marie Brown

With this ring I thee wed,
          We said some years ago.
And though the years have passed us by,
          It hardly seems to show.

For we still walk hand in hand,
          Down land and city streets.
And we still kiss hello, good-bye,
          Any time we meet.

We've savored all the good days,
          And weathered all the bad.
So, I sure hope the years to come,
Are as good as the ones we've had.
