You came into my life, it seems
So very long ago
You've blessed me with your company
Wherever we might go.

I needed you, and you were there,
Regardless of the cost
Whene'er I felt abandoned, you proved
I was not lost

You hurt for me, and cried with me,
When memories unfolded
You held me close, and loved me,
As nightmares took their hold.

And tenderly, yes tenderly, you drove them
From my mind.
You proved to me that man can be
The gentle, loving kind

I'm following a rainbow now,
To places yet unfound
I walk a path unknown to me
Where fears and ghosts abound

No matter what the outcome, Friend
Your're in my life forever!
Alone, apart - it matters not,
We'll always be together!!
